Piece of Mind

Spent practically half the day just jammin'... with my other fellow guitarist as u can see :) it's the second week of the sem... and no i haven't got my books yet... hehe... takin' things slow... or in other words... slackin'...

Saturday was THE WORST jammin' probably... we totally screwed it up during the hour and a half of recording... after a broken guitar string and some problems with tuning and amplifiers... we lost the vibe... was too disappointed that day to actually blog about it that day... But TODAY we outdid ourselves... and that's why everyone in the band includin' me is on such a high... we rocked for an hour straight with plenty of energy and charisma... everythin' just went right today... a total opposite, i must say, of Saturday's really bad session... So we've got a new drummer who's tight, fast and accurate... but we're still searching for a suitable vocalist... as of now... we can't seem to find one... is there anyone out there interested (and talented)? I can still hear the tapped riffs, heavy chops, bass slaps and crashing cymbals...

It's a name for a band... but no i'm not referrin' to them... Well... classes have started... i've got a foreign lecturer...for the first time in three plus years... and the teachings of all the subs are in english... hmmm... i hope the transition of the medium of instruction works well... and that the lecturers are able to explain proficiently whatever they're supposed to teach... I think we've just recruited two new band members today... a drummer and a full-time vocalist... well... the band is always changin' its lineup due to various circumstances... it was a rather good jammin' session... better than the one on monday... i think there will be much more to come in the next few weeks... my friends seem to be very enthusiastic... my korg sounded GREAT on the marshall stack... wow... very loud and crisp... i'm lovin' it! Hmmm... guess that's about all for now...

Seven bomb blasts in London's subway and double-decker buses... are the terrorists back in action again?... just when the Brits were celebrating their appointment as hosts of the 2012 Olympics... the explosions blew everyone into fear, anger and confusion...

Well... i had a great Saturday meeting friends who are back from various far-flung corners of the world... watched Batman with one from London... bumped into an old-time buddy since kindy, who was back from Kursk... and suppered with another from Perth... practically out the whole day... and a 'new' piano arrived at my house too... or rather a relative sold it to us... great for me... i can start bangin' d keys like a Rudess wannabe... Sunday... went out for a drink twice with my Kursk friend... hmmm... i hardly mention names on my blog don't i?... haha... but i guess u guys know who u r yourselves... if you're actually readin' this... :)

Did i tell you guys i love sunsets... yeah... and what a beautiful and amazing opportunity i had during my Pangkor visit on Tuesday... watching the sun slowly settle into the horizon... right in the middle of the open sea in a kayak... the skies were clear and glimmering in the sun's radiance... man how ecstatic i was... though i did not jump for joy literally... or the kayak would have capsized... and i dunno how to swim... hehe... but really... i loved it absolutely... no pics though... no one would wanna bring their cam into a kayak would they... hehe... :) Fantastic trip it was... the best part of it being the sunset in the sea of course... well... all in all... everyone had a memorable time i guess... touring around the island... and boozing the night away... well... it was only a 'few' shots of Smirnoff... or so i think it was a few :P Not gonna upload pix here... have already done so in Friendster... so... too lazy to do it again... hehe... One more week to catch up with everyone and it will be time to head back to uni... lookin forward 2 it?... well... let's just say i'm used 2 it already... :)
