to those ppl stayin near my area e.g. tmn pulai utama, tmn u and etc... you may be interested to know that my neighbor's nissan sunny (old model) was stolen last night around 0430 hours... so i would advise u guys to be more wary and cautious in this dark hour... or rather... during the dark hours past midnight...
i have therefore set up a surveillance system whereby i can monitor the goings-on in front of my house from my desktop... since my car is usually parked outside... yup... it's the car in the background... outside the gate...
if anyone has any ideas on a better security system... please do comment ;)
take this
test and see how u fare! i only managed to solve a third of the questions... and i'm pretty curious to know the answers to the others... ;)
a milestone for serpent has been achieved today... we've finally completed our first self-composed piece... and played it together... and after a few tries... we managed to pull it off rather ok... our jam today has taken a new direction... none of the usual covers were played at all... save for a few... all in all... we've managed to improve on our band's chemistry... now that we have our own original work... everyone can chip in and play their parts with their own feel and style... and it is through this convergence of different ideas and techniques that the song is brought alive... so to speak...
another jam on sat nite has been scheduled... hopefully we can make progress in the development of our second song (which is only partially written as of now)
to a brighter future...
oh... i had no idea what to write about so this suddenly crossed my mind... a couple of idiotic lecturers are actually making it compulsory for their students to purchase new textbooks as a prerequisite for taking their test this saturday... how absurd is that? luckily for me... i do not have to do so... surprisingly enough... my (usually strict but lazy) lecturer is letting my class use old books for the open book test... or is it so? before i know it he might just change his mind before thsi weekend... then we're all screwed aren't we... oh boy are we world-class or what...
some people actually thought my msn display pic at the esplanade was taken in shanghai... and down under... pretty cool... i haven't been to those places cos i only have a restricted passport... haha...
my good serpent drummer dropped by today with the original budokan concert dvd of dt... among other concdert dvds... good good... i can watch the bonus stuff which are not available on torrent... :) and i'll probably start ripping all his stuff before cny looms...
the woes of programming... the slightest typo and oversight can cause disastrous results... well... i should know better after years of C and assembly... was stumped for the past hour over the slightest error... i think the worst is yet to come...
i should get to bed soon... sleep is precious... and there's an early class i can't be late for... cos the lecturer's policy is better never than late...
lunch at the manhattan fish market yesterday was quite filling but not all too special... my friend remarked that sds makes crispier & tastier squid rings... and serves better dory too... ooh well... mfm probably isn't all that bad... but for the price of ten usual lunches... i had expected something much better...
as a matter of fact... it did cost me quite exactly ten curry chicken nasi briyani lunches... which was what i had today... equally appetizing...
on a different matter altogether... how many of you actually do believe in love at first sight? well... probably some of you may find it true from experience or whatever... but i guess love is too big a word for me to be (ab)used carelessly... so i guess for me... it's crush at first sight... yup... it's been kinda distracting lately... :/ ooh i must stop daydreamin' already and get back to reality... reality being finishing my assignment... (or rather getting started on it)... borrowing a textbook so i can start revising for my test... and watching serials of course :)
i've been hearing quite a few stories of relationship triangles... quadangles... and whatever lately... i guess most ppl have been in one at some point or another... and they're a real mess aren't they? call me a busybody but it's quite interesting to listen to other people's predicaments... there's always something to learn from... and since i'm more of a listener than a talker... i guess it suits me fine to lend an ear to those who want to pour out... ;)
my recent blog posts have been like picture captions rather than journal entries... it's obviously more convenient to convey a thousand words in a picture collage... now that i've a cam at my disposal...
so... besides the usual lectures... and endless tv episodes awaiting my watching... i've been practically up to nothing at all... even guitar has taken a backseat lately... serpent members have been out of town on hol of late... and the remaining ones are busy minding their own stuff?
oh... the university has extended our
cny hols (at the expense of the original mid-sem break) but i've already got an early return ticket here... which means i'll most probably end up comin' back early unless i change my ticket... which might be quite a hassle cos the ticket is with someone else...
in other words... we'll have one less week of holidays.... bummer
p.s.
my dear customer lost her dvds in
heathrow... so i guess the londoner who stumbled upon them... and his/her mates are enjoying them now...
what a crowd it was in tebrau city yesterday... nice shopping complex it is... by far the best one in the southern region... now i needn't travel so far to the nearest topman outlet... well gettin' stuck in the jam was rather frustrating but at least we all had a fun time there...
oh yeah... dr house makes limping really cool... my friend and i might wanna get canes for ourselves... and some mint drops perhaps?
thanks to a treat from my very generous gal pal... i had a delicious lunch of beef noodles at
crystal jade palace... i think that's the name of the restaurant... nice ambience too...
was browsing at
hmv and found that they had lots of CDs sellin' cheap... stock clearance... i was tempted to get a number but in the end i blew my money on two pieces of
U2 t-shirts... unexpected purchases... well... after all cny is coming so they might as well be under my new clothes budget... then i won't feel so guilty of overspending...
hung out at
suntec,
marina square,
esplanade... and also took a walk through
boat quay and
clarke quay too... very nice scenery indeed... i haven't really hung out in these areas before and that's why i gave
orchard a miss this time around... there was a huge fireworks display for a few mins... i don't know what was the occasion but at least it made up for the disappointment during NYE in
danga bay...
max brenner was cool... hot italian choc and waffles were simply delicious... ooh how i wish i could indulge myself daily with such absolutely irresistible temptations...
after a long day... i guess it's time to retire...
jammin' with a new band tonight... just a side project for the mean time :)
it's the new year... i must have had the worst countdown this year at boring danga bay... i shan't go there again...
hopefully the new year will bring along a better future...
happy new year to all of you too...
