Piece of Mind

a milestone for serpent has been achieved today... we've finally completed our first self-composed piece... and played it together... and after a few tries... we managed to pull it off rather ok... our jam today has taken a new direction... none of the usual covers were played at all... save for a few... all in all... we've managed to improve on our band's chemistry... now that we have our own original work... everyone can chip in and play their parts with their own feel and style... and it is through this convergence of different ideas and techniques that the song is brought alive... so to speak... another jam on sat nite has been scheduled... hopefully we can make progress in the development of our second song (which is only partially written as of now) to a brighter future...
